Welcome to the 2010 Marching Chargers Percussion Ensemble!

Fall Rehearsal Schedule:

Monday: 2:30pm - 7:00pm

Wednesday: 2:30pm - 5:30pm

Thursday: 2:30pm - 5:30pm

Week of August 23 - August 27

Monday - For Monday's rehearsal please have completely learned and memorized the second movement, Lux Aeterna, (all of it). Also take sometime to review heights for the opener and spend some time on the drum break. We will have a sectional on Monday evening till around 7:30. Katie and Nico are on snacks and we will have a sign-up for the other sectionals. Please return your private lesson forms if you intend on taking private lessons.

Wednesday - For Wednesday's rehearsal please have learned and memorized from the beginning to letter B (measure 14) of the third movement, Gloria. Snares and Bass Drum's please learn up to measure 21. Also keep reviewing heights and rhythms of the first and second movements as we would like these performance quality by the end of next week.

Thursday - For Thursday's Rehearsal Please review all music and drill for the first and second movements, and up to measure 21 of the third week.

Remember what we talked about at the end of last week. Much of our success will be determined by how hard you work outside of rehearsal in your own practice time. Also, something to think about....Practicing happens at home, rehearsing happens at rehearsal.

Week of August 30 - September 3

Monday: Sectional tonight will only go until 7:00pm and we will focus on parts of the opener as well as putting together Gloria. Brandon and the Schultz's are on snacks. If we could, lets do snacks right at 5:30 at the end of our full ensemble rehearsal. Happy Practicing!!

Battery - Have learned up to letter E of Gloria at 130bpm. We will be learning new drill today so it is imperative that you have this chuck memorize. Tenors please review the rhythms of Dies Irae on one drum. Snares and Tenors please take spend some time on triplet diddle at quarter note = 150bpm
